写在最前：众所周知，兽娘动物园有且仅有一季。
本片的 JPBD 有两个版本：分卷版和 BOX 版。经过校验，两版画质完全一样，因此制作主要基于分卷。当然我们也制作收录了 BOX 增补的内容：四集评论音轨，另一个版本的 NCED，还有新的附赠实物特典。
原盘画质较差，欠码、振铃、烂边、锯齿、色带，五毒俱全，加上极为稚嫩的画风，制作组差不多就是把缺钱俩字全写脸上了。整体画风偏向高对比度，本来就容易产生色带和色块，然而全片的噪点强度一般，又加上欠码，因此平面上的色带色块都比较明显。线条风格则有两种：1 至 4 集的线条比较柔和，没有振铃，有中等强度锯齿（参考截图 1 和 2）；5 至 12 集的线条经过了锐化，有明显振铃，锯齿也一并凸显出来了（参考截图 3 到 6）。除此之外，烂边问题也时好时坏，多数场景是 1 条，少数则是 2 条，部分极端场景中烂边不仅是 2 条而且还是非常规的红色（参考截图 7）。针对以上瑕疵，我们进行了一一修复：强力抗锯齿、组合去振铃、去色带、去色块。至于烂边，我们在提升观感的前提下做了尽力去除。考虑到本片纹理强度偏弱，背景也很糊，因此在补偿性锐化的基础之上又做了一定的纹理增强。最后是自适应降噪。另外，本片的 ED 是实拍，因此只进行了去色带和降噪（参考截图 8）。
写在最后：兽娘动物园只有一季，并不存在什么骇人听闻的第二季。因此本系列目前没有其他制作计划，望大家周知。

First of all, it's widely acknowledged that Kemono Friends has one and only one season. The JPBD of this series comes in two versions: the individual volumes and the BOX set. After verification, both versions have identical quality, so the production was primarily based on the individual volumes. Of course, we also included content supplementary to the BOX set: four commentary audio tracks, another version of the NCED, and new physical bonus items.
The quality of the source is poor, suffering from a full spectrum of issues: insufficient bitrate, ringing, dirty edges, aliasing, and color banding, embodying a complete set of common artifacts. Coupled with an extremely immature art style, it's almost as if the production team is blatantly displaying a "we're short on funds, save this anime" sign. The overall art style leans towards high contrast, which naturally tends to produce color banding and blocks. However, the entire series has generally moderate noise intensity, and combined with insufficient bitrate, this makes the color banding and blocks on flat areas quite noticeable. There are two line styles: episodes 1 to 4 feature softer lines without ringing and medium intensity aliasing (see screenshots 1 and 2); episodes 5 to 12 have sharpened lines with obvious ringing and pronounced aliasing (see screenshots 3 to 6). Besides, the issue of dirty edges varies, with most scenes having one line, a few having two, and some extreme scenes not only having two lines but also in an unconventional red color (see screenshot 7). To address these flaws, we applied strong anti-aliasing, combined de-ringing, de-banding, and de-blocking. As for the dirty edges, we removed them as much as possible while improving the visual experience. Considering the series' weak texture strength and blurry backgrounds, we performed compensatory sharpening followed by some texture enhancement. The final step was adaptive denoising. Additionally, since the ED is live-action, we only applied de-banding and denoising (see screenshot 8).
And last, Kemono Friends has only one season; there's no such thing as a shocking second season. Therefore, there are no further production plans for this series at the moment, and we hope everyone knows.
