修伊出身贵族，他爷爷是个热衷于收藏各种珍贵书籍的收书狂，死于意外后便留下一座古老的庄园和满屋子的藏书。爷爷的遗嘱写道，想要继承他的宅邸，条件就是继承丹特丽安的书架。修伊收信后造访宅邸，在地下室的书堆中遇到一名神秘少女达利安。

  因为调查爷爷死因，修伊来到了康拉德的宅邸，看到因幻书而引发的可怕景象。“幻书”即不该存在的梦幻之书，它蕴含着强大的禁断力量，能赐予读者无尽恩惠，但也会颠覆世界令其崩溃。封印幻书的，就是丹特丽安的书架。达利安命令修伊拿出钥匙，诵读咒文，她胸前的巨锁闪烁着金属光泽，原来少女达利安就是通往丹特丽安的书架的入口……
